The Sustainable Food Systems initiative is a sectoral sectoral working platform driven by Forética, which aims to contribute to the contribute to the sustainable transformation of food systems, The aim of this platform is to contribute to the sustainable transformation of food systems, based on the leadership of the private sector in order to increase ambition, accelerate action and strengthen the necessary alliances.
In this context, one of the transformation routes proposed by Vision 2050 is the Vision 2050, launched by the WBCSD at a global level and by Forética in Spain, focuses precisely on the alimentation and aims to achieve a regenerative and equitable food system that produces healthy, safe and nutritious food by 2050 with the involvement of business.
En su tercera edición, la iniciativa cuenta nuevamente con Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar como facilitador e impulsor, y un grupo de empresas líderes -Diageo Lactalis, Nauterra, Nestlé- y que, junto con empresas y organizaciones pertenecientes a la cadena de valor de los sistemas alimentarios, tendrán la oportunidad de trabajar en los asuntos clave, los retos y oportunidades para lograr la transformación.

En esta nueva edición, la iniciativa centrará su mirada en los principales retos y oportunidades sociales del sector alimentario y de bebidas, profundizando en cómo impactan en consumidores, trabajadores y comunidades locales. Analizaremos los desafíos que afrontan las empresas para ofrecer productos sostenibles, saludables y accesibles, garantizar condiciones laborales justas y promover territorios rurales más resilientes, poniendo también en valor las oportunidades que surgen a través de la innovación, la digitalización, el empleo verde, la agricultura regenerativa y el impulso a los productores locales. Con ello, buscaremos acompañar al sector en su transformación, visibilizando soluciones ya en marcha en España y actuando como catalizadores de nuevas oportunidades de negocio vinculadas a la sostenibilidad.

Accelerate action
To transfer to the Spanish context the main trends, challenges and opportunities identified worldwide from the perspective of sustainability in food systems.
Contribute through studies, positioning and practical solutions to generate greater knowledge by the business community to accelerate the necessary transformation.
Among the main milestones, the following are established:
- Contribuir al avance social del sector de alimentos y bebidas en España, promoviendo modelos más sostenibles, saludables y equitativos, en coherencia con las prioridades europeas y la Visión 2050.
- Impulsar la ambición, promover la acción y fortalecer alianzas entre empresas y organizaciones para acelerar la integración de criterios sociales en toda la cadena de valor alimentaria.
- Comprender en profundidad los principales retos y oportunidades sociales en torno a consumidores, trabajadores y comunidades locales, identificando palancas clave para la transformación del sector.
Visibilizar buenas prácticas y soluciones innovadoras que ayudan a ofrecer productos más sostenibles, saludables y accesibles, a mejorar las condiciones laborales y a impulsar territorios rurales más resilientes.
- Ideentificar proyectos y modelos que generan impacto social positivo, incluyendo nuevas competencias profesionales, empleo verde, agricultura regenerativa, digitalización para hábitos de consumo más conscientes y apoyo a productores locales.
- Evidenciar el compromiso, el progreso y los resultados alcanzados por las empresas españolas en materia de sostenibilidad social y en las áreas prioritarias para el periodo 2020–2030.
En la segunda edición, la iniciativa exploró y entró en detalle sobre y los modelos de producción sostenible a lo largo de toda la cadena de valor para generar un impacto mejor sobre las crisis gemelas: la naturaleza y el cambio climático.
Se profundizó en los retos y las oportunidades que se presentan, visibilizando buenas prácticas y soluciones puestas en marcha en España y actuando como catalizadora de la transformación necesaria.
