Spanish Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Within the framework of this meeting, the Forética delegation presented to the Third Vice-President the roadmap 'Vision 2050. Vision 2050. The time for transformation', which aims to inspire and accelerate action by Spanish companies in the face of the challenges of the future.which aims to inspire and accelerate the action of Spanish companies in the face of the important challenges we face in environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters.

This roadmap was presented at the executive meeting of the Spanish Business Council for Sustainable Development, held in February under the honorary presidency of H.M. King Felipe VI, in a context in which Forética has collaborated with the Presidency of the Government in the articulation of 'Spain 2050', a long-term vision of the country that takes on many of the challenges and commitments of the 'Vision 2050'.

Raúl Grijalba, Chairman of Forética and President of ManpowerGroup Spain, Portugal, Greece and Israel, states: "As companies, we are facing a key stage in the so-called 'Decade of Action' in the face of the unprecedented challenges that we are facing, highlighting the climate emergency, the loss of biodiversity and the increase in inequalities. The representatives of the companies that are part of the Council have the firm conviction that the current context in Spain requires raising even more the level of relevance and ambition regarding the performance of our economy and its companies in terms of sustainability, with a clear contribution to society and the planet. In this context, 'Vision 2050' is a strategic and ambitious guide that provides leaders in government, business and civil society with a comprehensive overview and common understanding of how and where to direct their actions to contribute to a sustainable reconstruction, with a focus on people and planet".

Germán Granda, CEO of Forética, adds: "Our 'Vision 2050' is the most comprehensive roadmap for sustainable development, and it is necessary that those who hold political responsibility for the future of sustainability in our country incorporate it into their medium and long-term strategies. Success or failure in achieving this roadmap will depend on the economy's ability to reinvent itself, on companies being able to build long-term resilience to adapt to future disruptions, and on a regenerative approach that helps restore and nurture the social and environmental systems on which business depends. This roadmap identifies nine priority systems for transformation: Energy, Transportation and Mobility, Living Spaces, Products and Materials, Financial Products and Services, Connectivity, Health and Wellness, Water and Sanitation, and Food."

The roadmap Vision 2050. The Time for Transformation -formed by a practical vision incorporating a 'CEO Toolkit'- constitutes a concrete landing to the Spanish business reality of the global vision presented by the WBCSD. It aims to guide companies in the development of actions that shape the systemic transformations needed to realize the shared vision of a world in which more than 9 billion people can live in dignity, within the planetary boundaries.
