  • Aligned with the 'European Pact for Skills' launched by the European Commission, Forética leads the project 'JOBS 2030 - Future of Work' with the institutional support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, and in collaboration with ManpowerGroup, Fundación ONCE, and PRISA, and in alliance with WBCSD and CSR Europe.
  • The 'JOBS 2030 - Future of Work' project focuses on mobilizing business action to facilitate fair and inclusive employment development in the face of recovery from the COVID-19 crisis and major challenges in digital transformation.
  • The regional governments of Aragón, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Galicia, La Rioja, Comunidad de Madrid, Región de Murcia and Navarra, together with the Cabildo de Tenerife, institutionally endorse this initiative to promote a diverse and inclusive working future.

Forética, a leading business organization in the field of sustainability in Spain, promotes together with companies and organizations the progress towards a sustainable transition that guarantees a diverse and inclusive future of work, within the framework of the project JOBS 2030 - Future of Work' project.. This initiative, aligned with the 'European Pact for Skills' launched by the European Commission, advances in the development of fair and inclusive employment in the face of the recovery from the COVID-19 crisis and the main challenges in digital transformation.

In a context in which the unemployment rate of young people (under 25 years of age) in Spain stands at 40% - well above the European average (17%), according to data from the European Commission - and in which people with disabilities are almost twice as likely to be at risk of financial poverty as people without disabilities - according to the International Labor Organization (ILO)-, boosting business action to promote the inclusion of the most vulnerable groups is more relevant than ever. All of this is in line with economic growth, as the World Economic Forum points out in its latest report 'Diversity, Equality and Inclusion 4.0', highlighting that those organizations that are more diverse are between 25% and 36% more likely to achieve higher profits than their competitors.

Germán Granda, CEO of Forética, states: "The key moment to build a more diverse and inclusive future of work is now. We need to drive greater awareness and ambition in companies and organizations, more collaboration between institutions and innovative and impactful initiatives and commitments that help increase the inclusion of the most vulnerable groups. Thanks to projects such as JOBS 2030, we have a unique opportunity to learn first-hand how companies, in collaboration with their stakeholders, are promoting initiatives that, by placing people at the center, are aimed at achieving a more just transition in the adaptation and development of technological transformation".

Aligned with the 'European Pact for Skills', Forética leads the project 'JOBS 2030 - Future of Work' in alliance with the institutional support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, and in collaboration with companies and organizations such as ManpowerGroup, Fundación ONCE and PRISA, with the global and international vision of allies such as the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and CSR Europe.

The regional governments of Aragón, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Galicia, La Rioja, Comunidad de Madrid, Región de Murcia and Navarra, together with the Cabildo de Tenerife are also institutional partners of the initiative.

Successful business initiatives in three dimensions of the Future of Work

Companies can participate in the 'JOBS 2030 - The Future of Work' project by sharing here until September 10 their initiatives focused on three strategic dimensions: Technological transformation focused on people; promotion and development of talent, skills and knowledge; and diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The selected projects will be highlighted at European level as the best solutions from Spanish companies to the challenge of the future of work.

"At Forética we analyze the impact of the digital transformation, the green transition, or demographic change on the most vulnerable and how companies are facing a great opportunity to become true agents of inclusion. In the framework of the 'JOBS 2030' project, we want to value successful proposals and initiatives that aim to generate more diverse and inclusive organizations, giving more opportunities to groups such as young people, people with disabilities, or those workers with less training, and offering real environments for effective inclusion. It is necessary to count on all of them if we want true sustainable development and to comply with the Sustainable Development Goals", emphasizes Ricardo Trujillo, Head of the Social area of Forética.

In line with this position, Forética is a signatory organization of the Diversity Charter, an initiative promoted by the Diversity Foundation and the European Commission, thus making visible its commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The initiative has more than 1,000 companies and organizations in Spain and more than 12,000 in the European Union.

The business meeting, which analyzed the importance of promoting diversity and inclusion as key elements for a sustainable future of work, was part of the European Month of Diversity and was inaugurated by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, with the intervention of Julio Mariano Carballo, Director of the Technical Office of the General Secretariat for Vocational Training.

For his part, Jaime García Cantero, Director of Content at PRISA's Retina (El País), provided a vision of how digital transformation can generate greater levels of inclusion and opportunity for the most vulnerable groups, provided that it integrates the vision of sustainability in the process, in line with the Principles presented by Forética within the framework of the JOBS 2030 project. In addition, this meeting analyzed high-impact inclusive alliances addressed by ManpowerGroup, with María José Martín, General Manager of Talent Solutions; Fundación ONCE, by Carla Bonino, Head of the CSR and Sustainability Unit; and Fundación Bertelsmann, with its Director, Clara Bassols.

As collaborating organizations, the 'JOBS 2030 - Future of Work' project counts on the Chamber of Cantabria, the Andalusian Business Confederation (CEA), the Madrid Business Confederation (CEIM), the Asturian Quality Club, the Responsible and Sustainable Business Club of the Valencian Community (CERS), Eticentre, Respon.cat and Visión Responsable, with the aim of maximizing the impact of the initiative at regional and local level.
