Light Rail West evolves its management approach and strengthens its commitment to the community

Metro Ligero Oeste (MLO) has announced a new management approach to improve service quality and establish lines of work that are increasingly integrated with the environment, occupational risk prevention, traffic safety and the community. After reviewing the main company policies and strategies developed so far, we have designed our own sustainable management strategy, thus strengthening the service in terms of quality, efficiency and commitment.

For this 2019, from this concessionaire company of the ML2 and ML3 lines we express our will to continue improving our commitment to sustainable mobility and to continue being a transport system that offers a safe, punctual and accessible mobility service, increasingly integrated in the local society. With this new approach, we are also committed to continuing our social projects; road safety education, environmental education and the promotion of responsible and intelligent mobility in our areas of influence in Madrid, Pozuelo de Alarcón, Boadilla del Monte and Alcorcón.

Metro Ligero Oeste's efforts to improve its performance have involved not only the organization's employees but also its stakeholders, which have contributed to clearly defining its strategic objectives. Ensuring good governance, focusing on people, strengthening relations with the community and minimizing the impact of the environment are, in short, the main pillars that this concessionary company has defined for the coming years.

Commitment to the future

This new management approach at MLO coincides with the updating and publication of our new Sustainability Report, which includes the result of the activities carried out during the 2017 financial year in the company, a year marked by the fulfillment of our tenth anniversary and by the change in the composition of our shareholder base.

As you can read in the Report, we are not only committed to cutting-edge technology to better interact with users and increase connectivity, but we also continue to work on improving relations with the local community and stakeholders, strengthening our commitment to the sustainable development of the environment.
