ILUNION Facility Services received this morning the SGE 21 certificate from Forética that accredits its ethical and socially responsible management system, after the external audit carried out by the certifier DNV.
In a ceremony held this morning at Torre ILUNION, the general director of Forética, Germán Granda, presented his counterpart at ILUNION Facility Services, Jaime Calzado, with the certificate of the SGE 21 standard, the first European standard that evaluates the ethical and socially responsible management system of organizations.
"Companies and organizations are increasingly aware of the importance of incorporating tools that ensure commitment to ethical and socially responsible management, a commitment that ILUNION Facility Services has confirmed with the SGE 21 Standard, thus reinforcing the integration of corporate social responsibility in its strategy and operations, and establishing objectives for continuous improvement," explained Granda.
For Calzado, this certification represents "a firm commitment to the development of a business culture based on ethical and responsible management. With this certification, at ILUNION Facility Services we continue to advance along the path of sustainability and continue to generate confidence in our stakeholders".
SGE 21: Ethical and Socially Responsible Management System
The SGE 21 develops the requirements for establishing, implementing and evaluating the ethical and socially responsible management system in organizations, and provides the organization's management with the conviction of its capacity to generate responsible leadership. Currently 150 companies and organizations in five countries (Spain, Portugal, Colombia, Chile and Peru) are certified according to the SGE 21.
It also requires a commitment that demonstrates at least three essential elements. Firstly, its integration into the organization's strategy and processes. Secondly, the promotion of dialogue and knowledge of stakeholder expectations. Finally, the promotion of transparency and communication.
The evaluation of compliance with this standard implies voluntarily acquiring a commitment to sustainability in economic, social and environmental matters. It also involves applying, demonstrating and maintaining ethical values.
This new certification reinforces the commitment of this ILUNION Group company to transparency, good governance and corporate social responsibility.
ILUNION Facility Services already had ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety and ISO 50001, the global standard focused on optimizing energy consumption, among others.
