The realization of the critical role that business must play in providing solutions has sparked a renewed sense of responsibility and urgency to address systemic sustainability challenges. Companies' interest in accelerating their ESG agendas-environmental, social and governance-has increased considerably.

Sustainability has become one of the key drivers of business strategy and transformation. To achieve net zero emissions and sustainable development, the global economy will need to invest $275 trillion by 2050, which represents a huge opportunity for value creation. Some estimates suggest that transition-oriented businesses will generate $12 trillion in net value by 2030. The conversation has shifted from "why" engage in sustainability to "how" to operationalize and accelerate transformations.

In the current decade, every company must, through its actions and solutions, address its impacts on the three global emergencies of our time: Climate Emergency, Loss of Nature and Inequality. It is time to transform.

Climate change has been the main focus of attention and action by governments and the private sector on environmental issues over the last decade. Along with this challenge, the crisis related to biodiversity loss, which could compromise 50% of global GDP, is gaining prominence on political and corporate agendas. The Kunming-Montreal Agreement reached at COP 15 is a clear reflection of this. Moreover, from a geopolitical point of view, the energy crisis and the scarcity of key resources will facilitate a long innovation cycle in areas such as energy and the circular economy, in response to bottlenecks in value chains.
